| Mockingbirds
is a loose collaboration of four Minneapolis artists who have worked together
in various overlapping ways. |

|
Monica Angle
is a printmaker, painter, and bookmaker. In 2002, her work was selected
for a solo exhibition in the Mayor’s Office by the Minneapolis Office
of Cultural Affairs. Her work has been collected by the Walker Art Center.
She has shown at Gallery 360 and Visual Arts; her work can be found at
those galleries and at Opening Night. Angle graduated in Folklore and
Mythology from Harvard College and has a masters in Cultural Geography
from Penn State. |

Sam Magavern is a writer whose work has appeared
in many magazines, including The Paris Review, The Partisan Review,
Poetry, Salamander, Mudfish, The Beloit Poetry Journal, The Green Mountains
Review, Compost, and The Forward. He wrote the CD-ROM story
Ooh La La and the screenplay for The Last Word. A graduate
of Harvard College and UCLA Law School, he is the Public Policy Advocate
for the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis. |

John Munson is a bass player, singer, music producer,
and actor. Currently, he plays with the
Flops and with Semisonic,
whose album Feeling Strangely Fine went double platinum on the
strength of hits like “Closing Time” and “Secret Smile.”
He helped create the story for Ooh La La as well as the music,
which he produced. He makes his acting debut as Ben in The Last Word.
He has also been making “field recordings” for a solo album
entitled Melt Away. |

Matt Wilson
is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, drummer, music producer, web designer,
and actor. With John Munson and brother Dan Wilson, he led Trip Shakespeare
to critical acclaim, three independent albums, and two records with A&M.
He then released his solo debut, Burnt, White, and Blue, which
won City Pages’ praise as Best Album of the Year. He plays the male
