Melt Away On January 11, 2001, John Munson gathered some friends at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis for a special live show. Joined on various songs by Adam Levy, Mason Jennings, Jake Slichter, George McKelvey, Edgar Olivera, Dan Wilson, and Matt Wilson, John sang a wide variety of classic songs, some obscure and some famous. He ranged from acappella gospel (“Love Like a River”) to a lush, full-on treatment of John Lennon’s “#9 Dream,” from classic soul songs (“I’ll Be Around”) to little-known indie rock (Jack Logan’s “Town Crier”).
